Background noise in city veiw

Has anyone tried to figure out all the talking that's going on when you do a "city" veiw? I swear that one guys is yelling "Hot Dogs" and some woman singing "Are you there there" LOL

I never have, but the babbling baby noise in the middle ages drives me to almost claw my own eyes out.

Can turn off "ambience" in sound options, not missing that much.

I have no idea what it sounds like. I turned ambience off within a couple of weeks of when the game came out.

I would think after playing this game for as long as we have that you'd have to turn the sound off just to maintain your sanity while playing.
My wife would have already divorced me if I hadn't adopted that practice.

Just remove the sound files or at least replace the offending ones with empties. They are all loose files in the game folder.

Yep i replaced all those classical soundtracks with the ones i like (Baba Yetu, most ancient), now i can keep music on the whole game

Someday I am going to replace all the CIv 4 sound files with Civ 3 sound files, I liked those much better. As it is now I just turn off the sound and youtube Civ 3 sound files
