Hello,

Have Anybody Ideas,
How can I Fix the Balance Of The Battle System ?

Because I´m losing with an Destroyer against an Galley....

My Idea is:
doppel All Hitpoins from the Expierence,
The Effect is, that the Unit with the Higher Value in
Attack or Defensive really wins the Battle,

the Problem is that,
the Bomboard is never such succesfull befor after...

- Logo and when I doppel the Frequens of Fire,
then the Bomboard is too Heavy...

(I´m a German Boy, and my English is not sooo god...)

Although many people complain about ancient units beating modern units i do not think it is a big problem. For a start the it does not happen that often and it is much better the civ 2 where it was much more common. Also in the real world if you send enough ancient 'units' against new ones eventually a new one has to be sunk. An example of this was in the vietnam war when a few helicopters were shot down by arrows.

P.S. You also put this in the general forum for civ 3.

:)

Just a comment I also posted in another thread.

Bakant, I agree totally, but I have found that the AI players seems to have a higher success rate in the battles.
If my modern units loses to ancient units as often as 75% of the time I don't care as long as AI players get the same percentage. As long as you are aware of the fact you can make the neccessary changes to your armies.

But when the percentages are lower for the AI I get a bit annoyed, becuase thats unfair.

They should make it so lower units like impis cant even touch armor or something. How hard would it to program something like that?

for the record>this almost never happened in civ2.It was fixed from civ1 with an improved system. The system was then totally abandoned in civ3 for one much like in civ1.A step backwards.
