Barbarian Hordes mod

i have been working on a mod that adds in difficulty levels, aka handicaps, specifically designed to dramatically increase wild animals and barbarians.

im still tweaking it a bit..adjusting the levels and playtesting them.

i plan on having 3 levels

1) easy

2) difficult/challenging

3) make me cry

on level 2 if you dont pick the correct civ that will let you start with the extra warriors i give you...then dont bother playing as they will wipe you within 30-40 turns, or sooner.

the intention of the mod is for someone to play on a standard size map, pangea type, with no AI civs, and have a militarily challenging experience.

would anyone be interested in this? and if so, i'll post it up over the weekend after i get a couple more game runs through the levels to further tune them.
 
Raging Hordes is pretty brutal at higher levels as is. On Deity, raging hordes severely inhibits all civs from progressing because they spend so much time defending against barbarians. :)
 
I tried making a mod like this... but even setting barbs to 10x the normal amount wasn't enough. Gonna have to try with 100x next ;)
(and this time remove the bonus' against them!)
 
my settings on level 2 difficulty are harder than those of diety, barbarian/wild animal wise, thats why i also added in a couple of starting warriors when you start the game.

you NEED them.


and my settings assume you will be playing with raging barbarians as a default, infact i have even modded the starting options so it is already set for you.
