For some reason, when I start a game as the Clan, the Barbarian trait has no effect... i.e., Barbarians are at war with me from the start, can't use For The Horde, and so on. I'm playing with More Naval AI, with a few XML changes, though I don't see how those would affect barbarians (changing the Lanun palace and Gambling Houses). Difficulty was Emperor/Immortal, mapscript was various (Terra, Big+Small, Pangaea), Acheron both disabled and turned on.
Is there any reason why the barbarian trait would not work, aside from getting too powerful? (BTW there's no message to that effect; way back when I first tried a barbarian with base FFH the game would announce peace with the Barbarians first thing...)
