Beethoven in Civ I

I just heard this on the radio. I listened to the end to find out that it was the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 3rd symphony. But knowing that didn't tell mr where I'd heard this tune before.
It's from Civ I.

You can hear it in Civ1
- when « We love the king/president etc. » is cancelled in a city.
- when your civilization is destroyed.

When « We love the king » begins, you can hear Beethoven’s ninth, 5th movement.

BTW the German anthem is Mozart's Turkish March

Music was always one of the best features in CIV games, especially in CIV IV for MEdieaval, Renaissance and Industrial period. Loo through music file to have a nice start point to classical music
