Best Androind companion app?

Although I'm not allowed to play the game until Christmas , I'm making preparations. Reading and watching tutorials etc.
I was wondering which is the favourite android companion app aimed at beginners?

I've found nothing useful on Play store. There's a couple of apps, but they are basic, incomplete and out of date.
