If you manage to keep your eyes perfectly still, you shouldn't see them moving. But at the beggining it's impossible (I think) to see them static. Maybe the guy was joking?

Meh I at first didnt' see waht it was because I wasn't moving my eyes, its my drama teachers fault, she tells everyoen to freeze and not one eye is allowed to move a fraction!
