panther was like 50 tons . AMX-13 was like 13 . Panther had 4 men , ignoring the front machine gunner/radio operator . AMX had 3 . Could be transported by air , even if took dismounting the turret (which was no big thing for the prepared enough) . Panther's armour was not impervious to things that could fire on it after 1945 , so AMX was much more mobile and small so it did its best not be hit in the first place . And they had the same firepower , meaning the same gun with autoloading thing and AMX could fire 12 rounds and it would have to retire and reload . So maybe not particularly suited to stop a Russian offensive in the way it was meant to be , but there were few things that could actually handle that ... So , especially today with that kind of turret , you can seat your crew in the hull , decreasing the overall height of the tank and seal with 100% efficiency , as good as the others , but tank people like require to be able to rotate with the gun , it makes you more efficient , though kids grown up playing all those computer computers might outperform dynosaurs of my generation and the like .
