I dont get the "revolution" option screen when the city is about to become independent. On the other hand I left barcelona as independent, probably should have captured it.

The Revolution popup comes only when a major player is respawning. If a single city declares independence, you don't get that.

I mean, I don't see why this mod couldn't be very similar to the way that Sword of Islam is operated.

If you need a history buff, I am incredibly good at researching historical details, but not so good at XML or Python.

We're not doing Sword of Islam, play that game if you like that style. There has been the introduction of the province system which is nice and similar to SOI.
