recon1591,

Thank you.

Since I also was scenario-developer in the original Beta-Massive,
I want the scenario to be completed at last.

Looks good Rotech :goodjob:

I look forward to trying :)

I am a bit worried about the load times, how do you think they will compare to Barborrasa as my computer can handle that fine. Long load won't stop me playing, just that with some of the other big WW2 scenarios I have had to wait up to half an hour between turns.

That Japanese screenshot is in engouraging, I quite fancy playing as the Japanese :)

ComradeDavo,

Thank you.

Load time is very long compared to Barbarossa, however I will
counter that with creating saves for playable Civs.

Waiting time between turns is harder to reduce, but CellKu
have made an excellent job with the map, removing a part that
is not needed. (That is Antarctic.)
Before I upload WW2-Global I will do all that I can to further
increase game-speed.
I have choosed this large world-map since I do not want to repeat
the mistake S.P.I. made 1975 with Global War.
That board-game had many good features, including a strategic module
that would work well also in a modern computer strategy game.
However the world map was so small that the whole game become
rather pointless.

Edit: I agree with you on the Japanese. Playing as Japan should be
very interesting.

Thanks for the info :)

It is good that you will be uploading save games! That will certainally help counter the long loading times.

bombshoo,

The link to Meateaters original version is down.

I have just decided to launch WW2-Global from a new thread
(to avoid confusion) when its complete.

Do you have a date of release Rocoteh?

Hamah,

No, not right now. I have to make more changes:
Recent playtest shows that Great Britain/France often declare war on US!

Thus the best solution I can find is to include US with
Great Britain and France in a locked alliance (at war) from start.
Japan will be in a locked alliance (at war) with the Axis
when the scenario starts.
This is (as all know) unhistoric, but consider the alternative!
That would be much more unrealistic.
Also: I will merge Communist-China with China.

You could put them all the Allies at war with the Axis, without having all the Allies in a locked alliance, like it happens in Conquest´s Pacific war scenario. That wouldn´t be so unrealistic and it would be almost imposible to have Great Britain and France at war with US. And, the best part fro me, maybe Great Britain and France would ask you to join in exchange of something for you (if you played US), or you could ask them to join in exchange of something for them.

Hamah,

This is the current solution:

Alliance 1: Britain, France, US, China and Poland.

Alliance 2: Germany, Italy,Japan, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

US ground forces were not large September 1939.
Thus it will take long time for AI (or a human) to build them up and use
them outside US.

@Rocoteh
this should work nicely for you as far as the US entry is concerned. :goodjob:

Great idea, this will certainly work.

P.S.Y.C.H.O.,

I have just counted unit-types. Its 228.

I estimate total number of units to 3 500.
