"Beta" Massive WW2 scenario

Hamah,

Soviet attacked Finland November 1939. Peace was signed March 1940.

By bombing several Finnish cities June 25 1941 a new state of
war again existed.

I reacted since you said it was wrong that Finland is at war
with Soviet when the Barbarossa scenario starts(it differs 3 days).

Then you stated that WW2 Global (with start date September 1939)
should have Soviet and Finland at war when the scenario starts,
despite the fact that Soviet attacked in November.

I must admit that discussions like this are rather pointless,
however if someone says "you are wrong!" when it concerns
facts that everyone can check I must react.

Everyone can make a memory-mistake.
That is OK.

I´m not angry nor disgusted, I only said what I said about debating because I wanted to excuse about being such a pain in the ass. I keep criticizing and you must be working hard to get this done well.

I enjoy you posting what you know because then I learn and it´s perfect that you say to me "you´re wrong" because it seems I am. I didn´t know about that new state of war and never read anything about it. I´m wondering now why occured to Stalin to bomb Finland again. What was the problem?

WW2 Global will be delayed.
New target date: November 25.

Bug-hunting consumes much more time than I first thought.
This is due to the rapid expansion of the scenario.

Download TGW-DIV 1.3:

Don´t worry, I´ll gladly wait for that date. This is trully going to be excellent scenario.

Why should we download that TGW-DIV 1.3? Is it new?

Hamah,

Yes I do not want WW2 Global to be disrupted by
undetected bugs.

The reason for the (temporary) sig-line for TGW-DIV 1.3 is this:

If you look at the front-page of the TGW-thread (the first post)
you will notice that there only some lines about TGW-DIV.

The result:

Download of TGW is 12-15 times each day.
Download of TGW-DIV is 3-4 each day.

Thus I am testing the temporary sig-line.
The first day I used it download of TGW-DIV increased to 12!

So the link in the first post of TGW didn't help that much?
Perhaps you could open a totally new thread named "Historical Scenarios by Rocoteh: WW1, WW2,..." or something similar. As you have invested so much into so many scenarios, a "library"/collection of your scenarios would be helpful and it would bring all the valuable scenarios together. Moreover that will most likely enhance interest - only if there is no negative side-effect that I am not yet aware of.
Another idea would be to start a general scenario library - similar to the new unit library that has been started in the units forum where every unit creator posts a list of his units and updates his list when he has released new ones.
Just an idea... :)

well, we have LouLong's Conquests Scenarios Directory thread which kinda gives an overview of any scenario that is part of the thread, etc.

there is also the out-dated Scenario Library.

i like the idea of Historical Scenarios being seperated from non-historical or fantasy/hypothetical/alternate history.

CellKu,

Thank you for your comments.
However I do not want to split current threads.

The last Sarevok/Rocoteh project have been done.
In the future (starting with the WW3 scenario) it will be
Rocoteh-only scenarios launched from their own threads.

Wow Rocoteh you are one determined man.

So where are all of the custom units from?

Drivebymaster,

They are from the SOE-project.

A great majority of the units have been created
by ripptide and Wyrmshadow.

Rocoteh

Wow, the screenshot is great! :goodjob: A good way to start some advertising. ;)
I am really looking forward to the release!

CellKu

CellKu,

Thank you.

Compressed size have now reached 80MB.
Then there is US Air custom units to add and
Japanese Air custom units.

I must say rocoteh I impressed with the quality of your scenarios. I was just wondering what kind of detail you'll be putting in your scenario. Will units be generic fighter/artillery/armour, or will you have model differences like me 109e/f/g/k and 37mm/50mm and 75mm at, 75mm art 105m art and 150mm art?

ggm,

Thank you.

Since the limit for downloads at CFC is 100MB,
I had to set priority to some units.

Thus Germany, Soviet, USA, Britain (and Japan when it comes to air units)
have a broad range of armoured and air units.
With regard to naval units one unit always represent one ship.
Thus there are no flotilla units.

Should people like this scenario, I will seek for a
solution to add more custom units.

Rocoteh

That looks excellent Rocotech, you really are talented. :goodjob:

Hamah,

Thank you.

Players reactions on this scenario will have heavy
impact with regard to if there will be more versions.

Its possible that I will use the 1 unit = 1 ship
that is used in WW2 Global in WW3 also.

Rocoteh

Excellent Rocoteh.

Are you not going to apply something similar to Barbarossa scenario?
