Settled our fourth town, so our lonely settler finally made it to relative safety....
I was sure i saw him holding hands with a spear?
Not much to report, we are neither settling any new towns nor popping any huts.
GPS

GPS to end turn 20. Still no announcements to report. Btw does anyone know whether we'll get announcements when other human players start building wonders? (not that i'm planning to build anyone for next 1000 years)

Welcome the next millenium..:goodjob:

I pressed F7, and no Wonder activity is reported.

@Salte, if there are announcements, it should be you who receives them....
I'm not sure if you see all start announcements, or only those for those tribes you have met.
I think you see all tribes completions.

I'm never THIS lucky. I popped a hut and got a Settler, which is lucky enough ... but wait, there's more:

1. It was in the only dark area within 10 tiles of my Capital.
2. One move and he's now on a hill, with 2 Flood Plain-Wheats in the initial 9.
3. AND a River-Plains-Cow after expansion.

This isn't my kind of luck. Something REALLY BAD is going to happen.

Congratulations...

I had a theory about this...

In a couple of games I held off settling at the start because of the position.
In both I had an early hut settler, I thought the RNG trying to even up the start. :)

So your experience shows my theory is drivel..... but you still have a nice settler. :D

settled one more town but not sure is he gona last....some barbs near....gps

Mongols look like they're doing well, I usually don't see them do so hot in single player. Maybe in my limited experience with them they've always been dealt a bad hand.

After the exploration of the immediate area surrounding my capital was complete, I sent my scout out in a straight line. He's now quite far, and hasn't run into ANYTHING at all.

I guess I should have asked sooner. Are we going to negotiate by e-mail & gift, or negotiate in-game over several turns?
