Nope, should have been the Vikings so the French could be building all the AA wonders for you. Paris is a stone's throw away. Pyramids would do me some good.

We are in anarchy still. :(

The Romans and Chinese are annoyed with me, despite my embassies with them and trading history. They have more men.

The Babylonians, our trusty research partners, have in the past declared themselves ready to go to war over Iron.

What's a boy to do?

Furthermore, there are rumours of civilisations in the fabled outer lands, of such large populations that they require something, unknown to peasant Albion, called luxuries.

The English content themselves with living in 't shoe-box in 't middle o' road, and nightly lickin' road clean wit' tongue. Now that's what I call luxury...

well....nothing much...maybe this corner position on the continent will come in handy later on....for now it's just annoying.....gps

When playing against AIs i prefer the middle, but not sure when playing with humans (I assume thats what you all are, hiding behind your computers and aliases ;) ).

Did you get my save bathsheba?
Am I missing something here or has this fast moving pbem suddenly come to a full stop?

Sorry, yes, it did come to a full stop, although I made a couple of postings in the Temp Leave forum.

A couple of personal things have happened to me. One has passed by, the other hasn't. Hopefully, I will manage a better turnaround from now on.

------

However, one disturbing issue which you should know about...

Another long running PTW game I was in is in the process of being abandoned because the game either became corrupt, or has bugs in it.
An IA war led to the game crashing whenever either the pillaging of a luxury square, or the abandoning of a city, resulted in trade deals being broken.
One of the other players says he has seen this before.

Are any of you aware of this as a possibility? Is C3C supposed to be more stable? Ominous...

Ok....we continue.Well, managed to deal some second-hand diplomacy with my AI continent buddies, but not much...for now they have more cash than me,but not for long...hehehe....gps
