BETA TEST: History Rewritten 1.23

My empire have 7 cities. High + dissent on almost every one. (Imortal Dif., speed 3?(forget the name))
I use 1. GA from GP to reduce it but it has been not enof. (-50% GA leng tran.)
The + on dissent was still to high.
Then when i faced few turn to rebellion i used GP to second GA. (Plus i don have that -50% and i have Mausoleum +50% GA)
All dissent disappear in few turn and when GA ended i have no problem whit dissent anymore. (All -)

What happen here? did i get to much culture that it conquer the dissent?

Did any cities increased their culture level during that golden age? Could you possibly post before and after screenshots of the dissent page of the Domestic Advisor?

It true that i send loot of missionary to my neighbor. He has 14 cities, different religion, only few cities have his religion and i put my religion everywhere. And top of it he has no rebellion at all.

The amount of dissent generated by civics, unhappiness, and unhealthiness scales with difficulty level for human players, while it decreases for the AI. On Immortal difficulty the difference will be very pronounced.

We started playing multiplayer (newest beta) and all went good so far (till turn 239) except after spreading religion to new city next turn we got OOS :(

Could you please post the following logs. I need them from at least two different players.

~/Documents/Civilization IV Beyond the Sword/Logs/MPLog.txt
 
I have no such file in HR folder and only OOS0.log in documents. If this is the right file can upload girlfriends later.

2) I've noticed that I got wrong one capital location before, so:

That's not a log from HR. No MPLog.txt probably means you don't have logging fully set up in your CivilizationIV.ini file. The following entries should be as follows:

No OOSLog.txt might be a permissions issue. I've altered the OOSLogger so that it will try place its log in the standard BTS Logs folder. Please try the attached files for your next game. They both go in /History Rewritten/Assets/Python/.

With settings you suggested i cant even run game, it stands for like 10-15 minutes on Init Python phase :O

That means there's a Python error of some sort on launch. There should be an accompanying error message displayed somewhere. Are you on OS X or Windows?
 
Neither me, was bit boring after 10 min or so... will try wait longer now. HR takes some time to load even full version and beta seems to need more to start.
EDIT : Interesting i cant run even clean BTS with this settings :) after setting to 0 " ; Establish connection to Python Debugger
HAPDebugger = 1" BTS and HR runs fine, but will it take logs you need?
EDIT2 : Some miracle happened we played older save bit differently and now we can continue (connect to python 0)
 
I've set it to switch on automatically when the city is about to get unhappy or unhealthy.
Works perfectly for unhealthy, doesn't for unhappy.
And is it supposed to be so that the Natural Wonders begin to give bonuses as soon as they're in a city's BFC but not in its culture?

I've managed to replicate this issue on Windows 7, the problem is indeed setting HAPDebugger to 1. This doesn't happen on OS X, so I was unaware. That setting doesn't seem to do what I thought it did so just set it to 0, and I'll edit my recommendations over in the Troubleshooting thread. Sorry about the hassle!

Strange. Does it work on the next turn or not at all? There may be some source of unhappiness that gets applied after the check is done, and isn't picked up till the check is done on the next turn.

Yes. The Natural Wonder has to be within workable range of the city, not cultural range.
 
OOS again no ooslog in game folder though

Thanks for that, but I need the MPLog.txt from the other computer as well. Multiplayer logs are only ever useful when they can be compared with each other. With the changes I got you to install, OOSLog should now be appearing in the same location as MPLog.txt and all the others. It will be named 'OOSLog (Alexej - Turn 231).txt' or something along those lines. I've tested it on Win7 and it's definitely appearing for me, but check that you are running BTS as administrator. Again, I need it from at least 2 computers in your game.
 
Triplechecked settings in GF ini file, she has all the logging on 1 value like me. But only mine computer produces that MPLog. I dont know why and I am ready to let you teamview both of us if you wish :)

I've had no MPLog appear sometimes too. I have no idea why. You can understand why solving OOS errors is so frustrating! Firaxis have not made it easy at all.

But what about OOSLog? Have either of you got one of those in your Logs folder this time? It is much more useful than MPLog. It doesn't require any messing around in the .ini file, but both of you need to be running BTS as administrator or it won't be able to write the file.

If you have any OOSLogs, send them to me. If you don't have any, please try the following:

  1. In CivilizationIV.ini, find the line "CheatCode = 0" and change it to "CheatCode = chipotle".
  2. Launch HR and start a single-player game, any settings.
  3. Once in game, press SHIFT + ~ (the key below Esc and above Tab). This should open the Python console.
  4. Enter 'import OOSLogger' (no quotes) and press return.
  5. Enter 'OOSLogger.writeLog()' (no quotes) and press return.
  6. Check your Logs folder to see if it has created an OOSLog.
  7. Repeat on your partner's computer

If an OOSLog is created, then we know it's not a permissions problem and each of your BTS applications are capable of creating the log. If it isn't created, and you're definitely running BTS as administrator, then I'm completely stumped.

I basically wanted to collaborate with the current beta and report that Humanism is not working appropriately. "Faith can generate any great person" generates no person at all.

Of course I won't miss the oportunity to thank you Xyth for the amazing job you've been doing all this years. I owe you million of hours of best civilization entertainment spent on your brilliant mod.

Using your directions it did created OOSLog (Alexej - Turn 0).txt in documents. Dont understand why it is not creating one in mp game :(
