Beyond the Sword takes too much time to load?

Im talking about the Steam version.

I start the game, first the little screen of steam "starting beyond the sword" that go fast, then my HD is working for about 40 seconds until the mini loader screen of Civilization IV BtS appears.

After the first load, if I quit the game and restart it, It loads fast.

Also I cleared the cache but the load times are the same.

I have not experienced this problem at all. I take it that steem is a bad program and you can't expect it to work right for it's own life.

No, Steam is not the culprit, vanilla and warlods load times are fine.

Are you using BUG or any other mod? Many mods slow down the load due to additional material being loaded.

No, I dont have any mod installed.

Really Its weird, I dont know what could be.

It takes about that long for BTS to load for me from Steam as well. Don't know about Vanilla or Warloads as I never play those.

For me, Vanilla starts pretty fast and Warlords takes a little bit -try sometime and tell me.

The problem is, why the first load is so long? cache? but I deleted them (holding shift and deleting the conten folder), and after the first load, it works very fast

Sometimes my load times with Steam are longer if Steam servers are too busy and the pop up window "XXXX game is starting" and takes his time, but this isnt the same, that pop up window disapear fast and is after that when the game takes too long to load.
