@Balthasar:

I really enjoyed reading your list, particularly points 9 and 10. Very interesting stuff, regardless of the great humor you've put in it. Are you a kind psychologist or something ? A coach perhaps ? I'll try this method on myself and tell you if it works, dear Dr Balt
In my life I've been and done lots of different things in lots of different places. My first version of this post was very long - half the page - listing all the things I've done. It shocked me; it amazed and amused me, that I, a guy who talks to his cat and drinks far too much Pepsi One, had done so much without even trying.
But, to answer your question: no, I have never, ever, been a coach or a psychologist. I just like to blurt out opinions, like Spock - with the same result, usually: the little "
his master's voice" tilt to the head of the listener, followed by continuation of the conversation as if I'd said absolutely nothing. Kids today have a rich cast of fictional role models to bring out their inner nerd; we only had Spock, Spiderman, and Barney from '
Mission Impossible'.
Barney, was the
real lead character of that show, you know; he appeared in the most number of episodes. Everyone else on the show walked around jerking people's chains, but Barney was the guy who drilled up through the floor into the safe, melted the gold inside and ran it down a hose into bar-shaped molds, then spray-painted the inside of the safe and plugged the hole just as the Dictator opened the safe, only to find it inexplicably empty. Dude, that's
punked. He didn't have to be a human chameleon or be abnormally strong to do it -
and he did it all with the best soundtrack on TV playing behind him.
But I digress:
I really do hope my completely
unprofessional advice helps you to make more units, or to get your head back on at the right angle. I look forward to seeing it happen. You might also like my civ-version of Kipling's "If" posted >
here<, though it's not exactly inspirational. If my advice actually works for you, look me up when you're ready to take requests.
