I've already laid out two options that poor people have to get themselves into the middle class. What they start out with is irrelevant. They can climb out of it if they want, but a lot don't, simply because they have a self-defeating mindset.

Do you deny that the some of the black community has a significant problem with out-of-wedlock child birth? Do you deny that a disproportionate number of the black community winds up in prison, or that a lot of families in the inner city is on welfare?
If you do, you'd be wrong.
