My main problem:
I can't start the game.
When I start it I can see the first logo, from Infogrames, appearing (part of the intro I suspect). If I'm lucky I also see the next one from Fireaxis, but I have no idea what follows.
I have tried a few things of what's suggested above...
- messed with the ini-file
- re-installed the game
- checked my drivers
- set it to play in compatibility mode for 2000 up 'till 95
Basicly, I don't know what else to do, but I do know that I absolutely want to play the game

- yep, everything's fine, and I have several other games running on my pc without any problem
- I installed the patch, but the it wouldn't even recognize the cd-rom! I read on this forum that's a common problem, and did like suggested: uninstall the patch again :-/
I never tried the Esc-trick (didn't know about that one yet, thanks), and the first time it wasn't a succes because the whole thing froze up again before I was able to reach the button... But it was a succes the second time I tried!!
I still think it's really weird, but ah well, it works now so I can finally start to discover the game
