BNW Game Crashes after Warrior upgrades to Spearman

Perhaps this has started after my Mac's upgradation to Yosemite. Almost 7 out of 10 times the game crashes the moment the warrior upgrades to Spearman through ruins. Sometimes it suddenly crashes in the middle of the game. Both these are recent glitches.

Can you post a save file from before the ruin is popped?

Not too good with technologies, if you can guide me send the saved game, Also its difficult to know which ruin will cause this. It runs okay while ruins provide gold or culture, faith, population. The moment I land into a ruin where warrior or scout upgrades, it crashes.

You are running the Mac App Store version of Civ5. I don't recognise the version number in the crash report.

I agree it would be helpful to upload a copy of the save just before the crash. We can then try it on someone else's Mac and see if it is repeatable. You can find your saves in the following location:

~/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.civ5campaign/Data/Library/Application Support/Civilization V Campaign Edition/Saves/single

This location is hidden on your Mac, so the easiest way to reach it is to select the Finder menu option Go->Go to Folder … then copy the above path string and paste it into the dialog box. Click GO to open the folder, and look for the saved game in there.

When you have found the saved file, attach it to a post here, in the same way that you attached your Crash Report.

Dear Folks please find attached a saved game as requested along with a screen shot. I landed on a ruin on turn 7 where warrior was to upgrade and it crashed. I hope t helps!


I reloaded the game and it did not crashed the next time. Upgrade was successful but just for fun I tried this a third time and it crashed again.

Don't know what this issue is.
