Once a City Wonder is built, the city that the City Wonder locates will automatically change its name according to the type of the City Wonder. The city will be labeled with (City Wonder). All Great Generals are now giving units adjacent to them special bonus and abilities. For example, Cao Cao will render All Units within 3 tiles the ability to capture defeated enemy units, as well as +50% bonus against injured units; while Zhuge Liang will make All units within 3 tiles able to attack one more time per turn and +1 movement.
A total of 97 Generals are added.

This is a continuation of the old The History of Three Kingdoms mod in Civ4 Era (Link: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=311432)

The Mod is a historical Mod that covers the time of Three Kingdoms period of China (184 AD – 280 AD). Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Kingdoms

Although relatively short, the Three Kingdoms period has been greatly romanticized in the culture of China, as is portrayed in the Romance of the

Three Kingdoms, a fictional account of the period which has long become part of the psyche of the Chinese. English Version:

http://threekingdoms.com/

Main contents of the MOD:

1. 18 new civs\leaders\traits, most of them are unique to the core game ones. All civs and leaders have pedia entries and city names.

Spoiler :

2. Totally new tech tree.

Spoiler :

3. Totally new units, with new unit models (Thanks to danrell) and flags, many of them have pedia entries.

Spoiler :

4. new social policies system

Spoiler :

5. ~30 new buildings, including new series of buildings like papermakers and buddism temples. Most of them have pedia entries.

Spoiler :

6. Brandly new wonders, with new splash images and pedia entries.

7. Expanded national wonders to help small country beats bigger country.

Spoiler :

8. Ambition instead of Religion. 5 new beliefs added.
Spoiler :

9. A fixed Scenario map featuring 18 civs and 18 minor civs, as well as random maps.

Current Issues:
1. Due to the limitation of civ5 modding and the difference in combat system between civ4 and civ5, the hero system is not included in this mod.

However, we're trying to combine our mod with the Heroes of the Three Kingdoms by epicss (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=456018).

Hopefully this will work.

2. Leader background images and unit icons are very simple now. We'll try to make better images, but it takes time. Hope someone with PS skills

can help us.

3. The civpedia is incomplete right now. I plan to get it down this month.

Credits:
danrell who made all the unit models;
Religious Belief Rebalancing mod made by Machiavelli24;
City-State Diplomacy Mod (CSD) made by Gazebo;
Free Culture made by Moriboe
Sun Ce of Wu for some Wonder splash images
sayianianian for his great unit flags

and many other nice people in CFC forum who helped me

I was playing it - it's pretty fun.

You mentioned you needed help with the graphics. I got a bachelors degree in graphic design, so I know how to make logos and icons in photoshop or indesign, but I really suck with code and stuff, so no idea really how to put that kind of stuff in the game. Do you need a special program to change the files to .dds ?

Are you planning to keep the actor's faces for the different factions or will you want to replace them with Icons?

It's beautiful to see this mod ported to Civilization V.
I have some suggestions for the future.

If you manage to fuse this mod with that by epicss (but please do it with no dlc dependancy) and manage to keep unique appearances for each hero like in the civ IV mod, what about converting the female Confucian missionary from here for the female heroes? http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=449814

I've noticed tha lack of soundtrack for the whole mod, what about putting at least the peace and war themes for each leader overwriting the original civilizations like here?

I hope to be useful, and thanks for this awesome mod :)

You can just send me some images and I can integrate them into the mod:goodjob: I can convert them into .dds

For the unit icon, the size would be ~256*256; diplomacy image would be at least 1024*768; unit ingame flag would be 24*24; unit strategy icon would be 116*116

Hi! Thank you for your advices:) . The unit model from Civ4 has to be adapted before importing into Civ5, which I'm unable to do. All the new unit models are made by danrell - so let's hope him may produce more unit models:) . Or if Bakeul, the unit-model-maker of Civ4 HoTK mod, comes to Civ5 modding...

Is there a place, maybe somewhere in this modding section, where I can see the original icons and graphics so that I can copy the shape or placement of the graphics?

Like for the unit icons, they have a circle with a grapic in it, they can change color depending on the civ, so doesn't it have to be made a certain way, or it won't work?

The 0.3 version is going to be released in recent days. I have updated a few screenshots in the steam workshop. The new update will contain many unique leader traits as well as novel social policy functions, new beliefs and new unit flags:goodjob:

Preselected starting difficulty is too low: I'm a (very) casual player and in my current game I'm at 18 cities, with 58 cities following my faith (Unification), and only had 1 AI declare on me the whole time (didn't even notice - til they offered peace on favourable terms - as they were nowhere near any of my territory).

Haven't DOW-ed anybody, as I can expand at leisure, and I can't identify any of my opponents (or friends) on the map. The pop up Civ diplo screen should be made to resemble the on map civs (same player colour?). I can't recognize any of them 1 pops up. (Doesn't matter in my current game, but I'm restarting on higher difficulty level.)

Otherwise totally fun gameplay. :D

Thank you for your comments:) The AI behavior is always a big problem. Hope the fall patch will allow us to modify the AI to a deeper extent.

Btw, epicss have merged my mod with his mod (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=456018). The merged mod is now under some beta-testing. So in next release you will see a combined mod with new hero system introduced:goodjob:.

Great mod! It would be awesome if we could get heroes! Guan Yu is literally a god! :)
I played quite along time until it got crashy, but I don't think that was the mods fault, just too much for my system to handle.
I started a new game that wasn't the scenario. That is when I noticed that it wasn't adding half the happiness as culture with the policy under official selection. Is there a fix for this? Maybe I need to do some cache clearing or something. (+1 from the capitol, +2 from a monument.)

Very nice. Will be fun to see our Heroes again (and be able to play a different civ).

I erased all my caches and reloaded, the 1/2 your happiness to culture doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else getting this? Is it just me or is it happening for everyone?

I am going to try this one and let you know if i find anything interesting or any bug .and please bear with me as feedback might be a bit delayed.... xie xie...
