Amazon.com finally shipped Conquests to me today and I did not see the bonus CD anywhere in the packaging. I preordered so I was under the impression that I would get the bonus CD. Anyone else have the same problem? And does anyone have a suggestion if I should contact Atari or Amazon.com about it?

Thanks in advance.

I preordered from Amazon as well. When I originally set up my order Conquests was 29.99. I then saw the price dropped to 26.99 but this was not reflected in my order, so I cancelled that preorder and set up a new one. Then, after the "ship" date listed my order was still waiting to be processed. I saw that the price again dropped to 24.99 and that the free bonus disc was available. It was listed as a seperate item for 8.99 but was 0 when purchased at the same time as Conquests. For whatever reason, they shipped them seperately and I have since received both.

I think a simple call to Amazon support (don't email or use the form, definitely call) should clear it up.

Yah i've had the same problem. I thought they were going to ship together, imagine my dismay.... Oh well, a pissy call tomorrow will hopefully clear things up.

I was about to write a post about it... got the game yesterday but no bonus CD...
btw, can somenone tell us what Amazon number shall we call in order to get this fixed? thanks in advance...:) :)

I've had the run around from Amazon too, here is the email I sent them:

COMMENTS: 1 month before the game shipped, it was exclusive on
Amazon.com, if you preordered Civ 3 Conquests, the Bonus CD was
supposed to be included. You are correct in the fact that the bonus
CD is no longer available.

I had other options when it came to ordering this merchandise, but I
chose Amazon.com because of the Bonus CD that was supposed to be
included if you preordered. So if Amazon.com cannot produce the bonus
CD that was supposed to be included in the preorder of Civ 3
Conquests, then you have lost a customer.

I checked the status of the item this morning on Amazon.com at this
link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-
/B0000EI9BZ/qid=1068467122//ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i0_xgl63/102-5817141-
7512156?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846

and found that "Availability: This item is not stocked or has been
discontinued." Maybe next time you do a promotion, you can have the
item in stock that you claim to include when an item is preordered.

***And here is the response I received back***

Needless to say I am done pre-ordering through them and will most likely end up purchasing the Bonus CD separately. I hope the rest of you have better luck...
