If you've found yourself moving on from Civ5 already, what are you playing now? Just curious what other games CFC people are interested in currently.

(Not griping here. No flames for/against Civ5 please.)

I just downloaded a few demos off Steam and last night ended up picking up the full version of Torchlight. Fun little dungeon-crawler game in the spirit of the Diablo series. (Designed by some of the same folks that worked on those games at Blizzard, as well as the game Fate.) The graphics are kind of cutesy, but overall it's a simple, fun way to get my loot-whoring on. :)

I also grabbed Alien Swarm and Team Fortress 2 (on a 50% off sale) but am waiting for my friends to download those since they're almost completely multiplayer.

Ironically, my purchase of Civ5 has been more beneficial to Valve than Firaxis.

I like what I played of Civ 5 but I have to admit, I'm kind of tempted to re-install Civ 4.

Not bored (bored????), jus played a whole russia campagn with Cathy (first campaign) and going to start one with empress of china

Wait, you uninstalled it in the first place?? Blasphemy ;) I reinstalled mine the last time I reformatted, and was actually still playing it when Civ 5 rolled out. I haven't gone back to Civ4 yet, but I might eventually, especially given that I never tried some of the better mods out there.

That's cool. Like I said, not trying to hate on the game in this thread (there are plenty of threads to do that elsewhere), just wondering what other games CFC people are playing.

Civ 4, Mafia (Forum Game), Pirates, and Blazing Angels.

Ended my WoW subscription, playing some Civ 4 atm.

I am pretty sure my rig can't handle Civ 5 well, so I will pass on that...

Have no interest in playing Civ V, so I've been playing Paradox games instead. :p

Mass Effect.

I'm also a huge loot-wh***, and I do have Torchlight, but somehow I keep not playing it through. I was rather far in it last time I played but yeah... Not done with my first playthrough yet.

I don't know why, there is something about it that is a little... Bland? I guess it's just TOO much like Diablo? It makes me wanna play Diablo instead. The items are mostly unimpressive, it seems I can take random skills or not take any skills at all and still win. I dunno. Something's off. The setting is boring, the town is boring, the dungeons are uninspired and don't feel special.

I can't explain it better. Let's just say that I play it and I'm thinking of things completely unrelated to what I'm currently doing. So I'll be playing Torchlight and thinking of stuff I have to get done at work at the same time. It's just not working very well as a pastime.

I'm currently playing Left 4 Dead 2, Planescape Torment, Civilization V, Outcast and probably soon Heroes of Might and Magic III (damn you guys and your forum posts).

Planescape Torment... I boot this game up, I'm in the Burning Corpse tavern... One hour and a half later I'm still in the Burning Corpse Tavern 'cause some of the characters in there have literally hundreds of pages of text they can babble at you. Well it's interesting at least.

For sure, I hear you. It's not an amazingly groundbreaking game; just refines the old Diablo formula a bit and adds some new ideas to the mix, and voila - a fun but not especially innovative dungeon-crawler. Fortunately, I don't need it to be anything but that right now. Plus, the mod potential is off the charts, and some of those mod packs you can get through the TorchLeech app are awesome.

I did find that the game was almost pointless on anything less than Hard difficulty, though. Easy and Normal are for people new to dungeon-crawlers; for any challenge at all, you need Hard or Very Hard. And if it's not at least a little challenging, I get bored quickly. Oddly like Civ5 in that regard. ;)

I'm playing Dwarf Fortress, Distant Worlds, Elemental, EVE Online, Uncharted Waters Online, Minecraft and Civ 4. In the process of trying get started with Europe Universalis III and Star Ruler. I always play games, that can offer entertainment value for years. I also play them pretty much in turns, none more than other really. For some reason, a RPG or FPS game you can play through in 10-50 hours just doesn't catch my interest anymore. The stories aren't interesting enough.

Actually, Psychonauts is an exception, just got it yesterday.

Dragon Age, this time as a 2H human noble. Gonna bone the Queen.
Minecraft (cool, with graphics that don't exactly rival Dragon Age).

Civ5 didn't really hook me, sadly. I guess it's because it's so slow, jerky and has catastrophic path-finding routines. No fun.

I went back to EVE online and now I'm stuck there since I'd forgotten how much fun it was. Also booted up Sid's Pirates, and occasionally play some good old Doom to let off steam.

I've installed the Football Manager 2011 demo *sigh* it treats me so badly but I love it and just can't bring myself to leave it heh

My main PC got attacked by a friggen rouge malware scanner, so it's in the shop... so... NOTHING! (At least not on PC, though I'm playing some Gears of War 2/Super Street Fighter IV/Super Smash Bros Brawl/Mass Effect/Saint's Row 2/Grand Thief Auto III & IV/all the other 104 console and handheld games I happened to own.

Iffing "Antimalware Doctor".
