TonyBiH submitted a new resource:

Bosnia Civilization - Test version of Bosnia Civilization based on Rob mode Punt

Test version of Bosnia Civilization

Leader: King Tvrtko I

Civilization Trait: Souks of Banja Luka: Floodplains do not block placement of commercial hubs, which are provided with an adjacency bonus from all floodplain and oasis tiles. +1 gold for each city following Bosnia's religion.

Leader Trait: King Tvrtko I: Gains an additional economic government slot. Incoming trade routes from other civilizations provide +2 gold for the Punt.

Unique unit: Worker (replaces builder): The worker has an additional charge.

Unique building: Stećak (replaces monument): In addition to the monument's culture bonus, the stele creates +2 housing.

This is test edition of the Bosnia civilization based on Punt mod. I would like to thank Rob for example. The civilization is fully playable. When I figure out how to add more custom traits i will make update to make differentiation from Punt and more real to Bosnia.

I made custom modification of Rob (R8XFT) mod in order to make Bosnia for myself. I was hoping to get some suggestions or advice from community. I'm beginer in modding of Civ 6 so i don't know much but i could learn.

Also i have shield for Civ_LEADER_TVRTKO i put that to x:\Program Files (x86)\Sid Meiers Civilization VI\Base\Assets\ARX but we can't use it for now. That shield is also in folder of mod for now if somebody would like to use it later move it to ARX folder or designated equivalent.

Here is my mod based on your Punt i hope that you or someone will help me. http://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/bosnia-civilization.25429/

Of course for mod like this you need to move to My documents ...My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Mods and activate in game.

The mod seems to be pretty much empty with some basic bonuses, I really like the colorscheme though.

As for suggestions, I don't really know much about the history of Bosnia, however, it used to be Illyria in the ancient times, you could do something with that - "Illyrian legacy". They seem to be a mixture of Latin and Greek cultures.

The unique unit from rome 2 -

Siflex thank's for hint. I will try to learn to upgrade more related bonuses. I agree on similarity with Illyria.

Nema frke dukisha. Dukisha i sent you pm. Because of all others i prefer to write in english.

Really dude? this is just a direct copy of Rob's Punt Civilization. It's not "based on", you just changed some words.

I'm beginner and Rob made note that he intended to be an example civilization so that modders can see what's needed to set up their own civilizations. I made some changes in type of people and some other minor changes. I don't take credit for this. You can see in title that is test version and in file who is to thank for. There is still lot of work to do. This is only because people want to play custom realistic civilizations. This is just work in progress that everybody can change but still can play right now. Some of us discovering errors and what we want to change only practically because we are not professionals. I will make more changes that will build up on top of this fine Rob's work.

Look at this as a grafted branch that can grow in a different way and on the other side. I had no intention to take anything and preempt than simply provide all even more fun in the same way that I have fun. I was not planning to announce publicly as a special topic but there is no way (at least as far as I know) I was forced to publish the correct topic. I just wanted to post as opinion only. Now we are where we are. From this might come out something good if I can with some members make cooperation in this and other projects.

Come on man, you can at least rename the Stele into Stećak.

I did work on a Bosnia design myself, I'll get into modding when I actually buy the game. #poormanslife

Bosnia

UA: Jerusalem of Europe

Every religion present in a city provides +1 Great Person point for Great Artists, Writers and Musicians.

UD: Stećak Necropolis

A unique district available only to Bosnia, replacing the Holy Site. Gets no adjacency bonus from Forests, but instead the bonus from mountain adjacency is doubled. Built faster on hills.

UU: Vitez

Knight replacement for Bosnia, may enter hills even with 1 movement point left.

Leader: Kulin Ban

LUA: Declaration of Bilino Polje

Gain Faith whenever another civilizations spreads its religion in your cities.

Agenda: Dislikes leaders who spread their religions to city states.

Not sure how much of this is possible, but it's a start.

Might try to do some art (icons for start) once someone makes a template. I did try some stuff with 3D modeling, but I will need lots of practice for that, hopefully someone makes a tutorial for Civ

There's a difference between developing your civ off someone else's work and plagiarising it. Punt was meant to be a base for other civs on the premise that it showed what was necessary in civ creation - it wasn't being offered out to be renamed and regurgitated! Just changing a few lines of text doesn't mean it's a new original civ, not to mention the new lines don't really make sense: I doubt the most interesting or nationalistic thing about Bosnia is North African-style markets in a city not even named until long after Tvrtko's rule, and the Leader Ability is just the guy's name. I'd like to assume you meant well, but right now this is just a lazy copy of Punt published much too early in its development.

COF i was asking for help. Not for lynching. I do not know if this is type of welcoming anyone who wants to learn and try something new. I know that I would gladly give my resources to help someone.

If moderator decide he can delete my work. I would like to hear opinion from Rob. I have stated in work description that this is test and all credit for Punt goes to Rob. I thought that it was enough for a man not to get offended. Earlier this evening I made update where changing STELE to STECAK as COF suggested but we update for some reason did not want to accept the changes.

I like Bosnia very much and that's why I wanted to play this mode. I thought to put zip in topic of Punt but forum moved my file to create a new civilization. I did not want to be rude. If someone can help me please do so.

I apologized to the man because I took his mode as base for my work (you can call it renaming but for me is start). I'm amateur in this work. This is not a first-class edit but there are people who do not know even this much. When I succeeded at even renaming I shared with everyone. I did not expect to hear that I stole work when I mentioned the man who has merit.

Tip for the future: Don't upload your "practice work". It's worthless for people who are looking for mods, because it's not a good civilization, and by the time you actually update it to have a thematic feel to it nobody will care about your mod anymore, because nobody will see that this mod that originally was not interesting in any way has been updated and made a lot better. So I really don't know why people do that. Release a mod when it feels like a finished product to you. What is a finished product? Well, simply ask yourself: "Would I actually download this, use it and be happy with what I got?" ...if the answer is no, and unless you're a very easily satisfied person the answer IS no in this case, you should probably just continue practicing, and if you run into problems that you can't fix, ask for help.

Still, I don't see what all the fuzz is about in this case. The original mod is extremely basic, and created with the expressed intent to give other users some insight in how stuff is done correctly in Civ VI, it does not contain artwork, or any custom functionality that makes the mod unique, it's literally just a training mod to help other people. Calling this "plagiarism" and being like: "Oh my gawd, did you really just copy-paste this mod?! That's so not cool!" is ridiculous and overall it seems to me that people are just looking for something to be offended about.
