I settled in place. By 1 AD, I've built a total of seven cities (including a couple on the continent to the south) and the GLH. I'm preparing to go to war with Justinian, using Praetorians and Catapults.

I believe I also settled in place. Only six cities for me, but I'm literally 1 turn from going to war with Hannibal.

I had some horrible events early in this game. A hurricane knocked down my lighthouse halfway through building GLH. Rebuilt the lighthouse and still got GLH, but that's a lot of wasted hammers. Then tornadoes destroyed my Iron mine like 2 turns after I finished it. Got the workers back on it quickly, but I might have already taken a city from Carthage if I hadn't lost that Iron for 3 turns.

Btw, @Deckhand - we're still doing 1 AD in this thread right? I think the 200 AD was copied over from the recent Classical start.

At 1AD I'm at 11 cities with 57 pop, and built SH, GLH and Colossus. Justinian got the Oracle, had gambled on having a bit more time for that, but didn't work out. Tech up to CS, MC, Calendar, Construction and a turn from Music. Will probably war soon with Justinian and Hannibal. Brennus doesn't like me as I stole a worker early on. Not decided on VC yet.

That's a pretty cruel event! I might have quit in disgust if that happened to me, so kudos for continuing.

turns out just editing 189 to 191 only fixed the small picture but not the linked one; copied it from the announcement post
