There's also something to say for going east. In my game they are all Judaist. Maybe I risk a peacevassal party there with Nurses involved.
I wouldn't know who is willing to do that. That kind of data is not in my head.
Likewise with the maintenance. All I know is that it will increase faster and faster (and on deity it's huge). We're Org and it's Monarch level, so it won't slow us down too painfully. I mentioned Communism, for State property obviously. I just want to keep my pace high. There's also the GSpy that will initiate my first golden age. (all GS so far, will keep spending those on bulbing)

I agree wuth you, Bolsanero is not really a threat. And with galleons east or west is no difference.

It is interesting how things I different in my game, Bolsanero is buddhist so he likes me a lot without me even trying. I am still researching maintenance and how big/valuable their cities and resources are, but like you I kinda precommitted to going certain direction, for example I settled GG I got from fighting Isabella in my East Coast city, which is intended to build HE.

1AD, challenger save. Most AI's seem to be rather weak and small, only Bolsanero has got 11 cities by now. It does not feel like IMM.
City names are great, I had a good laugh. Lots of creativity went into the map-making. Only the Pathogens should be Chinese, shouldn't they?

Settled 1N, because I wanted to save the stone for my second city tile and keep the fresh water.
Was rewarded by the second pig.
With Nappy, Rexing is fine and I settled 9 cities so far. No war yet, because I got all the land I need and still can expand more. Land is too rich, where to settle first?

I have no idea how I would want to win this map, Culture is more than possible, but in GOTMs, it is also about score, right?

Wonders: Great Wall (because it looked rather wild to the south at first glance), Mids (of course), HG and lots of fail gold. Settled stone and marble quite early and took one gold + copper from Izzy by blocking her off completely (which I didn't know at this point).

Thanks for the report, interesting to compare. I went North first with my cities, did not scout much due to being scared by Pathogens power in demographics and barbs killing my initial warrior. Did not build GW, just no scouting until I got better units. I discovered Isabella accidentally, I thought I am alone on an island, so scounting was not urgent, then settled a city above her North and noticed it is marked as a colony and then so a title of her culture on the map, so switched research to writing and got open borders, iirc wanted to check if she is building the Oracle. AIs other than Bolsanero indeed not very impressive so far, but in my game Supermarkets are also sexing well. They are some kind of weird (minor?) civ without leader traits, any gold for trade, etc

BTW, it may not feel like IMM, because AIs still start with Monarch units.

Luckily I do never pay attention to demographics, so I was not scared from the start. I just play the best I can and try to grab the resources that serve me best. The Nurses are extremly well portraited imo, but I still wonder who or what could offend me here? Any suggestions?

Yes that's correct. The idea is that, once people have played to 1AD, they can come to this thread if they wish and compare their games up to 1AD. Hence the requirement not to post anything beyond 1AD in this thread - so you don't spoil games for other people (And also, use judgement about not posting information about the map that you discovered before 1AD, but which a less experienced player wouldn't be likely to find out until after 1AD).

Then the final spoiler thread is so people who've completed and submitted their games can compare their experiences - so discussion of the entire game allowed in that thread.
