Thanks for playing!
I'm really pleased with the participation and variety. Over thirty entries. One player took Challenger Save and two players took Adventurer. Three losses and three incompletes. Thanks for submitting.

Several returning and new players as well as "regulars". I won't single out any returnees. We had three players submitting their first games: ikotomi,
burgundyshield.gif
EmmeCinco and

Zulyin . Welcome. :band:

Zulan took the Bronze with his second submitted game only ten years behind Jovan Kukic's Gold.
Htadus has now taken Silver in his last five submissions! (WOTM65, BOTM90, GOTM115, WOTM67, BOTM95) :trophy2nd:

Nobody achieved a Culture victory.

Here's where everyone settled. Some nice variety here as well.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

Well, congrats for winners, and all players, with victory or not (and also who submitted). Wellcome to the new ones - join us in other XOTMs :salute:!

It seems BOTM is gaining a new breath, with more participation... This is something very, very cool !

Thanks Deckhand for one more game and for your effort :goodjob:!!!

@nocho, your are on my blacklist. I thought I had a good date for Diplo, but you mess up my plans  :trouble: ...

Spoiler :
Ha, just kidding :p ! Congrats for the excellent date :goodjob:! And look that - I was better than Kcd?!. Wow, I deserve some credit for it :D...

Uh-oh :hide:

Good work on your own game, but I guess for a competitive diplo date you should try to beat 1600AD. :) If it helps, my usual recipe for diplo is something like:

Spoiler :
- Grow big early without completely killing your economy (focus on currency, build wealth to get out of the hole), if possible with an early war for land grab
- Beeline education and get oxford out as soon as you can
- Importantly, farm a GE and keep it for the UN. Mids, Hanging Gardens and forge engineer in an early production city, ideally. The GE is often worth roughly 20 turns of building it by hand otherwise.
- From education on, basically beeline mass media, libbing the most expensive tech that you can safely get on the way. On noble/prince that should be Radio. If you have a healthy tech rate, you might make a slight detour through gunpowder and military tradition for cuirs to go grab more land for needed votes if you can't get those votes by being friendly.

Useful wonders (more or less in order)
- Mids
- Hanging Gardens
- Oracle (slinging CS is ideal, but something lesser is still good).
- MoM
- Great Ligthhouse (circumstantial on watery maps)
- Taj
- Great Library
- Parthenon

Other wonders I barely build. Well, the UN itself of course. :p

Thanks for the game, Deckhand! :king:

@nocho, I hope you (and Kcd) have understood the joke. Lately, the players have not written here, so the name has to change for Results and NO Congratulations.

But thanks for your tips about Diplo. In recent XOTMs I got an enormous step, that is your first tip:
Spoiler :
- Grow big early without completely killing your economy (focus on currency, build wealth to get out of the hole), if possible with an early war for land grab

That was (and still is) my main target. Even in lower levels (despite winning), I have failed in this topic. But now I got some progress, and my games have changed a lot. So, the others tips will be more manageable. About this game I thought (wrong) that the date was good because have not the trade techs :crazyeye:...

Well, thanks again and untill next XOTMs :goodjob:!
