Ok, I see your point.

However, in all fairness to Sharpe, in the elections thread Bush was compared to stuff much worse then rats and he didn't even reply. At least posters compared Bush to Hitler, severalll said he is a moron and quite at least one said that all americans are idiots.

Now naturally Lula has nothing to do with this case, though a joke is only a joke. When we make jokes about people we don't like we don't feel a need to be based on reality, only in the need to make the person in question look bad. And that's what sharpe did, and yes I think that we brazilians are a bit oversensitive about foreign criticism.

That newstory abou Lula drinking made quite a feel people claim for the "hanging" of Larry Rohther.

Oh, come'on, Luiz, you forget who you are replying to? Am I the type that charges at people for no good reason?

Ok here are the points:

1 - In threads about elections in heated disputes ended in that very day, it's much too idealistic to expect that there will be no cheap shots (though it would be better if there weren't). Not the case here, this thread have nothing, not the slightest relation, to anything ever done by lula;

2 - In those threads, there were moderator reaction (not charging at the mods here, I tend to think they were too busy with american politics, and I can't assume others have reported sharpes post, since I didn't - because I never report anyone).

3 - Calling Lula a "rat" is just the obvious aspect of Sharpe's post. Look at some of the posts he made on Lula, the first before the guy even stepped into the office:

Nevertheless, I'm aware enough of Sharpe's posting history to know the true content of this bashing - that was, the suggestion that the "dictator" Lula was using his powers to undermine the freedom of those who opposes him - what to me pretty much equals with calling someone Hitler, who was, by the way, nothing but a dictator.

Maybe I'm a little fed up with Sharpe's repetitive rethoric - it has more to do with my reply than an actual defense of Lula - but truly it was well deserve, though I doubt he will take a single minute to actually evaluate what I said here. He never have done it before.

Please, prove me wrong here, Sharpe. Post something worth debating here.
