I liked the council a lot and I'd like to have it back. But doing this uses ressources up I would like to see put in other more important graphical areas, for example different leaders for each civ.
We have to set priorities and the council isn't something very important (to me).

Yeah, but the people who post on this board represent only a small portion of the people who will buy and play the game. To you're average punter, things like the senate make the game more enjoyable, etc.
And Elvis was cool. Stopped the game being too serious. Although, I'd hate to see lots of childish humour put in. But Elvis was cool.

@riadsala, I didn't suggest a thing that is boring to the normal "punter" (I have no idea what this word means ... 
). I was suggesting something that - in my opinion - the average player would favor over the council.

For me the graphical area is not so important. Indeed my suggestion is only of secondary importance. First the AI must be a LOT better and a resource/ blockade system too and other things. Then graphics, but if all is done the senate should be reintroduced. It was an outstanding feature of civ 2.
