Just because you don't look like her, or she won't sleep with you, you have to say terrible things about her? How childish.
I mean sure, I'll never wake up with her nestled into the crook of my arm, and breathe in the scent of her sweat and perfume through her shampoo, and fall back asleep contentedly, with slightly aching back muscles. But just because I'll never knock her up, that doesn't mean I have to knock her down.
And I happen to sport a tremendous woody when I see her video for Oops. And the music is perfect for...certain activities.

I think that's a bit harsh. Madonna has actuallly 'proven' herself, she writes her own songs, and she did it all a long time before "manufactured" acts came along.

I said this about Paula Abdul in her day, and I'll say it about Britney Spears now: she's in the wrong profession! She should be a strip club dancer! (And preferably in my town, so I can pay a visit!) (Well, I think she's at least 18 now, if not then shame on me....)
Actually Paula Abdul, with that beautiful supple hardbody of hers, made my body just ACHE watching her move in her videos. Britney isn't as good yet, but she may be getting there.
Sure the music is crap, and I'll never ever own any of her CDs (never owned any of Paula's either), but I have no problem watching her shake it....

There are not too many musicians that have been around as long as Madonna.
Some of her songs are garbage, but many of them are quite good (lyrically).
Britney Spears is no better than a pebble and dirt encrusted piece of gum on the bottom of Madonna's shoe.
Just because people buy her records now, doesn't mean she'll be around for 20 years (Like Madonna). (Tiffany-Paula Abdul-Samantha Fox anyone)
Madonna has sold herself by changing gears, changing styles, and changing her sound. Not many singer/songwriters could swing that.
I am not a big fan of Madonna, but I have a healthy respect for her.
