BTS background screen missing

Everything is okay with standard CIV 4, but for expansion pack I lack background screen as shown in attachment. The same in the game.
I have HP Pavilion Entertainment PC with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 ann 1,5 GB graphic memory, but still there is problem. Does anyone knows how to solve that?

P.S. I have latest video driver possible.

I thought the game would be patched but apparently it is not... I bought the game online and website said it is patched to latest version (3.17) but when I look the file info it sais version is 3.1.3.1.. I wrote them and ask both about the game version and invisible menus.

I have clean installed the game few times but with no help (vanilla works fine and I don't have warlords on this computer). Also, all drivers are up to date.

Now could you please post you dxdiag results file?
also open the civilizationIV.ini, set all items with log in their name from 0 to 1 and save that. Then start the game and try to open as many offending screens as possible, close the game and post all contents of my games\beyond the sword\logs as a zip file

Files are attached. I tried to see if any of the logs got updated when I opened screens, but nothing seemed to happen.

Some more info: Backgrounds are missing basically everywhere from start menu dialogs (where the game settings are selected) from game screens, dialogs and icon/buttonset backgrounds, and then, e.g. in technology advisor I have grey texture background but I can't see background in boxes so that I can't see which technologies I have discovered and which not.

Thank you for that link! I tried to look for updates for graphics driver but I wasn't able to find anything. ...however, that was of no help. I also installed and uninstalled both vanilla and BTS several times but with no luck. The screen backgrounds are still missing in BTS.

Yep. I did.

I'll wait and see if the Eurogamer/Gamesplanet (where I bought the game) is able to provide me with any help. I doubt though...

Well what to say, i got exactly the same error. And I downloaded it at the same place. Just at the German page

But actually no help.

But did you downloaded the Original as well? I mean the normal version.
Did you update the normal version to the newest version?

I checked the resource folder of BTS and I found it quit empty. The normal version has much more. Does the extension has files there? (This is more a question for those where it works)

I tried to open the TGA files in the HUD folder but it ended in an error. Is it possible that they are copy protected?
