BTS cd + steam vanilla + Windows 7...

I have just purchased civ 4 vanilla via steam (works fine).

I have a BTS CD, and tried to install it. But it tries to patch Civ 4 (which is strange, as it's a fresh download from steam and shouldn't need a patch).

It says "patch failed to install! Aborting installation".

I'm in Windows 7, as I say. This is a new laptop so it shouldn't have any trouble with Civ 4.

What should I do to get BTS? I ain't buying it for a second time.

BTS CD + steam vanilla = steam vanilla + a useless CD.

The CD and Steam distributed version are not compatible. To get BtS you either will need to get a vanilla CD or Steam BtS.

Don't try another download from anywhere else as that won't work either. You need to either have all CD or all Steam.
