[BtS] Civ Customiser

Traits bug still exists. Working on fix.
 
In regards to traits bug, it seems to only affect certain parts.

- Promotions work fine. (See pic)
- Philo +100% GP works. Shows, but does not function.
- Double speed building XXXX works.
- +* Commerce/culture/etc does not work.
- Spiritual no anarchy does not work.

From appearances, only the original trait of the leader functions correctly. EG: When I chose a Spr/Fin leader and then added Agg, Spr and Fin worked perfectly. But when you add Spr or Fin to a leader they don't work correctly.
 
If you mean these as fixed pattern, I can say that Spiritual (No Anarchy) has worked for me once at least.

It will be quite weird if some aspect of a trait worked while others didn't. I think it would be tougher issue.

Anyway, good luck hunting this down.
 
It's definitely only the original traits work 100% perfectly.

EG: Alexander, Philo works perfectly, but philo doesn't +100% GP production when added to Augustus.

EG2: Elizabeth Fin works perfectly, but Fin doesn't add +1 GP for Frederick.

EG3: Isabella Spr and Exp work perfectly, but Elizabeth enters anarchy and doesn't get +2 health when added to her.

However, unit promotions work perfectly when added. EG: Add protective to someone, and the correct units gain those two promos.

This is gunna be a . .. .. .. .. . to fix. :(
 
Well, it seems to me that some traits effects are set once when the game starts while others are applied every time they are needed. When you train a unit the leader traits are checked if a free promotion is granted the unit will have it. However anarchy maximum number of turns is set once at the start of the game and it only checks for golden age or the wonder. Anyway it is an SDK thing nonetheless.

Edit: It struck me now that it is actually natural that different aspects of a single trait can be treated differently. It is the components of the trait that are fixed and has its xml tags. The traits themselves are not fixed you can change them and add new traits. You are limited however to the effects you can adjust unless you add new ones to the SDK.
 
Should be alot eaiser to set unique buildings and units. Now you have to search in the list. Maybe show a star on the replacements, or move to them in the list. Or just show them.
 
Have you tried using the Lopez's Dynamic Traits? I think its warlords, but you could probably get it up to date.

Question - how can you add a civ or a leader head to this ?
 
can this mod be used to change the traits / leader during the game? If not, would it be easy (or otherwise) to change the mod to do that?

PS: Not asking you to change the mod - just let me know how hard or not it would be and I can do it - any pointers / suggestions on how would be valuable.
 
I'm fairly sure that its possible to make changes in a game thats been going awhile, thats why I'm putting it in HoH.:)
 
Any chances of getting this mod compatible with 3.17 pretty please?

Yeah, i'll have to bump this too.
Please (someone - who can re-compile the necessary CVgamecore.dll), fix it for at least 3.17 & 3.19 compatibility and add a color option to it!

What? You're crippled? Get to work...:p
