BTS Manual? PDF?

For those lucky of you who have gotten the retail, I'm wondering if the printed manual is decent. The one from Warlords was pretty good, 140+ pages. Is the BTS manual as good? Does it have updated Civics, etc tables in the back like the Warlords one did? And is there a separate PDF version on the disk?

My manual (European English version) is just under 60 pages long and the only tables are dedicated to keyboard commands. There is no .pdf file on the disk as far as I can tell.

Actually the PDF is legally downloadable from [cut details again because I think I might have accidentally trod on a mod edit].

Update: Hmm, having trouble finding it again now. Maybe they only put it there by mistake.

From what I have read on this forum the manual is obsolete anyway, but that's nothing unusual.

Has anyones manual fallen apart yet? My Warlords manual fell apart in the first week.

The manual is a bit short, it explains the new concepts such as Espionage. But it only mentions all the new buildings and units, it doesn't give any information on them.
The info on the scenarios is also the same as on the official site, some more information and gameplay tips wouldn't be misplaced. Especially Afterworld (which is a great mod btw) leaves you stranded with lots of options and no idea which are the most usefull.

My bet is that has nothing to do with the quality of the manufacturing of it. That's just normal wear and tear.

The manual is a bit disappointing in the lack of detail. For all the new civilizations, buildings, wonders etc, it says "refer to Civilopedia for details". At least the Warlords manual gave you the details of the new content.

Yeah, it WAS available at that place, and could be downloaded for a while, but now it's no longer active. Perhaps it was just too soon, perhaps the link was moved and is still somewhere, or perhaps it really shouldn't have happenend at all.

An offline Civilopedia, a little electronic one like an ipod that you could read away from your computer, would be great, wouldn't it? Until then, I need a manual.
