BTS Saved Game Editor

Is there any way to edit a BTS saved game? The Civ4 editor doesn't work with it. I had read elsewhere that the saved game file can be edited with Notepad, any idea how?

Why not just open the saved game, open the worldbuilder and edit it that way, then save it again?

I had it set for a Space Race victory and would now like to change it. Can that be done with World Builder?

I think that you may be able to load it into world-builder and then save it as a scenario. Then rather than playing it from the save game, you choose the scenario and should--I THINK--be able to get to the custom game menu to change the victory conditions before starting the game.
