Bts version 3.19 crashes after a number of turns

I checked the obvious things: my graphics card driver is up to date, and my directx9c is good.

I both patched the game today and installed the graphics card driver - I had been using the default Windows driver. I have the ATI Radeon HD 5700.

Incidentally, I did NOT have this problem before I patched the game and installed the graphics card driver. I patched it from within the game's automatic "check for updates" option. I do not know which update is causing the problem.

After updating the game, I also got the message about my machine not having the proper hardware to run the game, and my graphics settings got set to minimums. I reset them back to something that looked decent.

I am running Windows 7 Professional.

What do I need to do to fix this problem?

3.19 does not usually install properly using the in-game update. You will need to download the patch outside of the game and save it to your computer. When you run the patch right-click on it and select run as administrator.

As for the warning message, the game often gives this warning on very over min spec computers, you can just ignore it or there is a setting in the .ini file that you can change to hide the min spec warning..

All righty. I reinstalled, then upgraded to 3.19 using a download instead of the in-game option.

It still crashed after a number of turns.

A small detail:

Running an un-updated version of the game - straight from the CD - works fine without crashes. It's specifically the update that does not work.
