This thread is for all Departments to post their Buget Requests with the Domestic Department.

Also, listed in this post will be offerings by the Domestic Department for funding to rush improvements. If no offerings are posted, it means that none are currently available. If you wish to use the funds offered, please post changes (if needed) to your build queue in the Instructions thread. If no changes are required, please post a note to rush the improvement in the Instructions thread.

I'd like to request the funds for these:
Thessalonica Building: Library Rush Cost: 136 Turns until completion otherwise: 34

1. Plexia - Rush aqueduct...124g

2. Delphi - Change to temple, rush...168g

Total gold - 899

Offerings under consideration:

The Domestic Department approves the following budget allocations for the Department of Culture (DOC):

144g - For rushing the library in Cumae

112g - For rushing the temple in Paville

In Thessalonica, Herekleia, and especially Delphi, happy people are the priority because of th size of the cities. Let me take another look at Ephesus.

As of now the Offerings for the 7/6 turn chat are as follows:

Byzantium - 320g if switched to an Aqueduct
Atlanta - 228g if switched to a Courthouse
San Francisco - 236g if switched to a Courthouse
Delphi - 4g if switched to a Temple
Alexandria - 218g to rush Hospital on turn 2
Lutetia - 180g to Rush Aqueduct on turn 5

Cumae - 216 to rush Temple
Pharsalos - 480 to rush Temple

Total - approx. 2298g

The military dept. requests 240 gold for upgrading Caravels.

I currently have no plans for rushing any units or buildings.

The Foreign Affairs Department requests 5gpt for a gift for Iroquois. Current spending is 5gpt (already) with 10 turns left. This would double our gift for 10 turns.

Perhaps I should ask for a gpt cap I can use to please Iroquois?

BTW, I have proposed trading a luxury with Iroquois to get 125 gold in return so gifting 5gpt back still can work out ahead for us.

FA proposal for July 6 turn is here:
Foreign Affairs Proposal for July 6 turn

OK, a quick note here. 1. Governors accept offerings and Departmental requests are approved. 2. For a Governor to accept an offering, said Governor must post either a change in the Instructions thread or a note in the instruction thread acknowledging the rush (as stated above).

No other funding is approved at this time.

Pardon cyc, you offered several thing for culture (including libraries) and I accepted, yet their isn't a single mention of them in that psat post.

Curufinwe - As stated in post #1 and post #12 of this thread, and in the Domestic Dept.'s thread, if a Department would like to request funding for any purpose (to include CAP, upgrades, whatever) they must post a request in this thread. If that request is approved it will be listed in this thread along with the offerings accepted by Governors who post in the Chat Instruction thread with required changes or a note indicating a rush. You have not made any requests in this thread, and you are not a Governor, so that pretty much excludes any funding request approvals or accpeting any offerings. If you would like, I can state the process over again. I would suggest, if you do not see what you desire listed in post #13 above, that you make a post requesting the funding you will need to obtain those things. If they do not conflict with the offerings or other requests (logic takes priority) then your request will be approved. This is the only fair way to approach the situation for all Dept.'s and Governors involved. If Governors don't post in the Instruction thread, the can't accept the offerings. See, there I go again, repeating myself.
Any questions?

Curufinwe, I had left and then remembered that you were going thru some private difficulties. So I came back to apologize if that last post sounded a bit coarse. If you have any questions, please ask. Again, I apologize for my rudeness.

It is just that culture generally controls cultural buildings, and has quite often controlled the building of them. And do to the fact you compiled most cultural buildings needing rushing I saw no need to state them again and doing so would merely echo you, which I saw was pointless, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I accept the offering for rushing temples in Corinth and Sparta. The peoples of the cities, along with myself, thank the domestic department, and statues of Cyc have been added to the plans for both temples.

Also, may I request 352 gold for the rushed completion of the marketplace in Cumae? Cost will be 352 gold. Will take 15 turns to complete at current.

Just a suggestion (more like a notice), when an improvement has been collecting sheilds for atleast 1 turn, the price is 1/2 off. (So, that 300 and some gold temple may be 150 some the next turn).

I believe this observation is correct. I'm not so sure about the ratio, but the price to rush decreases with the number of shields already accumulated. I wish they would go back to Alpha Centauri's rushing method, where you could chose to partially rush a project.
