Bug or not ?: The Great Lighthouse prevents harbor blocks ?!?

Hello,

I just played a three love triangle hehehe.

3 Players fighting each other.. mostly me

It was fun game... I was the only one with irons (three).

This blue guy build harbor on Iron but I cut it off with ships so I thought...

It turns out he still got Iron..

Nobody understood that, including himself.

I inspected the game and it turns out he build many wonders including
The Great Lighthouse, funny enough !

In his capital.

I inspected the game via savegame and hotseat, and I disbanded his capital so the great lighthouse would be destroyed and YUP !

No more iron for him ! That cut him off ?!

Is this a feature or a bug ?

I shall try posting screenshot. The blue city bottom right was the only city with iron... but block didn't work. Blue UR city had great lighthouse.

Looks like he still has a land route to me, unless I do not understand what you are saying.

well, where is 'kua'?

Kua has a valid exit point to the SE, and the GL allows travel by sea. It seems to me that there is a valid sea route between Kua and Ur.

Destoying the GL would permit a route only by coastal tiles, and there is no valid coastal-only route.

It seems to me that the game is doing just what it should.

anaxagoras is correct, you are not blocking the harbor at all in that screen-shot! Nothing funny going on, you are just not blocking properly.

Tip: turn on the visible grid in map preferences.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I was blocking it properly.

The screenshot is after I moved the ships to see if that helped anything.

Even if all ships block all sea squares within his borders the harbor still was not blocked.

Try it yourself sometime

Well I just tested it again.

First trade seemed possible but then later the harbor block was successfull... with probably only one ship ?! thanks to the land ?!

I am pretty sure I blocked the harbor in the other game 100% correctly as was the other player.

This guy and I definetly were not newbs... and this other guy was just as baffled as me.

I guess it really was a rare bug ?!

Or maybe he cheated... but I hope not and I think not...

Well this is definetly something to keep an eye out for..

Maybe the harbor needs to be double blocked...

Like, unblock it, reblock it, unblock, reblock it, after lighthouse is build =D

Then the block should work again.

Better be safe then sorry
