Bug Reports Center

I didn´t see the Nuke bug in this thread.

I don´t have the way to reproduce the bug, but basicly your nukes refuse to detonate. There is message in Info box that ICMB has detonated but there is no damage to target city or any visual effects.

Serious late game mood killer bug :(

I was in war with the target civilization and there was no friendly units around the target city.

edit:

We played multiplayer game tonight and ended up with real Nuke war, but there was no mushroom effect when a nuke detonated. I find it odd that there would be visual effect in single player game but not in multiplayer? :( Only difference with the situation I reported earlier was that this time nukes did damage cityes etc, just the visual eye candy was missing this time.

What about the bug I've posted up, I'm not the only one and it's incredibly annoying.

There are no steps to reproduce or real cause of the bug. I can't just put down "Crash to Desktop" or something of the sort. I need to have a confirmed reason WHY. These are mainly for gameplay bugs, not hardware issues some people are having.

The reason is something to do with the systems RAM. the message that appears as gorf posted is the computer explaining it, sadly I don't know enough to tell you what that means exactly, but surely the game designers will.

Does anyone know when a patch is coming out soon? Most of the wonders I cannot build because when the movie opens the game crashes. I can not play on the large maps either because the game slows and then crashes also.

Welcome to CFC, mike2005! :)

It should be out within a week or two, I'd imagine. I have no doubt Firaxis started work on one as soon as the game hit shelves and people encountered some bugs. You can just keep an eye on the main page to see when it comes out.

about the stealth bomber intercept bug, i think its only a graphical bug, and stealth bomber wont intercept any planes, even its circulating the city.

i had a group of tanks and artillery selected, move them next to a city, click on bombard, and tanks show up firing as well, but doesnt reduce the city defense.

Panzooka is right. After a few days I went back to that game and I tested the intercept bug again (it is really hard to see your planes intercept [the enemy planes and your intercepting planes all attack at once] unless you end a turn on a city that is intercepting) and it is just a graphics bug that happens to look cool. The stealth bombers sadly do not intercept. However, the other bug is a real bug and it gets really annoying sometimes. I would of posted sooner but it slipped my mind. Also, other stuff got in the way.

Lastly, I edited that post on page three where I brought this up so it is now correct.

Thanks Ginger Ale. I hope it is soon. For some reason the wonder movies make the game crash.:( Hope this is included in there fix.

Yeah, remember one more bug :

Main menu -> SingelPlayer -> Custom game ->
You can not choose a civilization, you can only choose a leader.

And don't forget about the nukes ;)
When someone does a reproducable post about them... ;)

Minor bugs/nuissances:
1# Historiograph replay does not distinguish between city razing and capturing.
Steps - play vs mongols (they seem prone to razings), let your city get razed, retire, watch replay.

2# Historiograph replay does not show anything about player cities being built.
Steps - start a game, build first city, retire, watch replay.

Bug or feature?:
3# Historiograph replay does not say anything about what happened to great people (started golden era, invented music, etc).

Tilted Axis crash - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=140757

Doesn't seem to happen on all machines, but if you start a Tilted Axis map game then it will run fine for a while and then any clicking on any worker action or Great Person action button will crash the game to desktop. Seems to be hardware independent.

I think this is almost certainly the most common CTD reported, and the cure is to wait for the unit's movement animation to complete in its entirety before issuing a further order.

Makes no difference. I've got several saved games in which I've left the unit standing for up to 30mins before clicking the button and the game still crashes.

I've just posted this on tech support forum, I hope it is all right if I do it here as well. Although I would class this as a "major" bug, it does not happen regularly, or with any pattern:

Laptop
AMD 64 3400
1024 RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 Mobility 128 MB

The game runs quite well. However, sometimes when I tried loading a saved game, it crashes. Loads fine, and it is on End Turn. I click on any city to make the unit active, and the PC reboots. When it boots up again, I get Microsoft message saying how Windows recovered from a serious error, with output:

BCCode : 1000007f BCP1 : 00000008 BCP2 : 80042000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

C:\DOCUME~1\Admin\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb314.dir00\Mini 110605-03.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Admin\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb314.dir00\sysd ata.xml

I tried not clicking on the unit, but just ending the turn, game goes through all other civilizations, asks what is next to be built and what tech to be researched, but as soon as it reaches for a unit to be active, same thing. Before that, I can "surf" the map, I can bring any advisor I want, or view anything in the game, but it bombs out as soon as a unit becomes active.

However, I loaded the latest autosave - worked fine?!

I thought it was a one-off, I played for few hours, saved it, tried loading it again few minutes ago, bang. Same thing. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, I could not find a pattern, though.

The space elevator is not buildable in every city. It seems that this in its self is not a bug, as smurfish points out in the linked thread the xml explicitly limits the building to latitudes in a ±30 degree range of the equator.

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=141249

Nevertheless some documentation should be added to the game explaining why actual physics was considered in regard to this issue but at the same time it is assumed that the success of the Apollo program would directly lead to mankind colonising 'nearby' star systems. ;)

Okay here's another bug, it's very simple

1. Open up the Civilopedia screen and select Buildings

2. Try to look for Stonehenge...It's not there

It's listed in mine... right after Rock N Roll and before the Church of Nativity.

related to the diplomacy major bug, but slightly different

1. during peace negotiation after a war, click on everything you want from the AI

2. click "what is your price for peace"

3. get a message box saying you cannot demand items during peace negotiation, you can only offer tribute. click ok to close the box

4. now click the first response, and AI will give you everything you demanded
