Forgive me... what video card do you have? When does the game crash? How much Ram do you have? Have you run system tests, ie memory, hard drive? Try running CCleaner, and disk defrag etc... This game is a monster on resources with so much going on. My game runs smooth with my setup, currently playing 18 civs on large map, in the year around 1860.pbgrhino said:i am having thecrash problems that many have described. The only dif I see between my system and yours is I have 2GB of Ram. Same vid card, virtually same processor. I'm not sure if the ram makes that much more dif. I'd also have my Virtual Memory set rather high. I have plenty of disk space so try to up yours if you can. Go to System properties Advanced Tab, Performance settings, Advanced Tab, virtual Memory and set it to custom size, I use 4095MB as you can see in this screenshot. If this works, let me know.jj#10 said:here is my rig's setup
GFORCE 6800 GT 256 MEG
P4 3Gz
1 Meg Ram
111 Gig hard drive space free
It seems the crashes happen more frequently after the 1000 AD timeframe.
Has anyone heard of a timeframe on a new patch?
