Help!
I've searched a lot about this and most things I found were about Civ3, where this seams to be more common.
Also the 4.0 patch readme sais something about it, namely that there was a bug fixed with draging a technican.
I also found, that this could happen, if DirectX 6.1 is not installed (I have 9.0c)
However, it still happens with me. Can you help me?
Details:
The game crashes after I have choosen start/map/difficulty/rules (if I remember correctly this is directly before choosing the faction).
The exact message is:
FATAL ERROR
Unable to allocate draw-buffer; terminating programm
My system is:
Athlon XP 2000+
Ge Force 6600 GT
Windows 2000
The installation is:
Alpha Centauri
4.0 Update
Win 2000/XP compatibility update
