Bugs in CBP?

Hi
This is my first post so I apologize in advance if I miss some common "must state info":)

I've just swiped my SSD and have a completely fresh installation of CIV5 from Steam. Added the same mods as I usually use and activated them in the sequence starting from 1:
(1) Community Patch (v. 89)
(2) Community Balance overhaul (v. 13)
(3) City-State Diplomacy for CBP (v. 27)
(4) C4DF - CBP (v. 11)
(5) More Luxuries - CBO Edition (5-14b) (v. 155)
(6a) Community Balance Overhaul - Compatability Files (EUI) (v. 1)

It all used to work nicely (no hardware changes and all drivers updated), but now at least 3 strange bugs appear which, due to earlier experiences with Empire Total War ("when something doesnt look right, it will probably get worse during gameplay"), makes me not want to continue:

Bug 1: The text on the meny button looks weird.
Bug 2: At the top of the screen next to my gold there is a text saying "Instant!".
Bug 3 (Xhich is the most annoying): When hovering over a city noting is indicated (usually worked tiles and border growth is shown).Checked without mods enabled and it looked fine.

Checked without mods enabled and it looked fine.

I hope somebody can share some thoughts.... I already tried removing CIV again, reinstall, validate local files, run steam as admin and all the usual work arounds, but apparently nothing helps:

Have a nice day:)

Lasse

Those are definitly not normal.
It seems that the EUI is missing from your DLC folder. The autoinstaller should have put it in your DLC folder.
You can get the version used by Vox Populi here: https://mega.nz/#F!fcsEhALY!XpWbkVod5utm-S1s-7TUhQ
Take the folder UI_bc1.zip, unzip it and copy the folder "ui_bc1" into your Civ 5 DLC folder.

Note that there are currently two concurrent versions of Vox Populi, the stable version from end of february, and the beta version from end of march.
The date of the version is more important than the version numbers you see, since the version number don't change from versions to version (or maybe once every year).

Hi Moi!
Thanks so much for your ultra-quick reply:)
I tried downloading the folder, unzipped it and placed it in the DLC-folder, but nothing has changed. Trieds both moving the entire folder to the DLC folder, so that it was a folder within the DLC folder and after that all the files directly into the DLC folder.
If it can shed any light, there was only 1 file in the DLC folder to begin with, called: DLCChanges.sql.
Also: The bugs do not appear until I have founded my city...

By the way, you can take a look at "what it should look like" here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/india-total-peaceful-photojournal.637885/
Open the "My Start" spoiler.

Simple check: when you are in the "select your civilisation" menu when setting up a game, and you hover above a unique building, do you have a tooltip that open to describe the building? If no, then the folder ui_bc1 isn't at the good place on your PC.
My guess is that when you resinstalled civilisation, it somehow created another folder somewhere else, so you have 2 DLC folder, one useless and the true one.

If you can put a screenshot of your DLC folder, it could help.

Yes, the tooltip appears there

Ok, I got the problem (or at least one of them), we're not talking about the same DLC folder.
1) Delete Vox Populi, and reinstall it.
2) Go into your DLC folder located at "Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC" (not the one included in the mod folder). Check if there is a folder named "ui_bc1"
3) If there isn't, copy the unziped ui_bc1 folder in it. Keep its name as ui_bc1 (it is very important for all that stuff to be in a folder with a name starting by "u" or "U")
4) If it doesn't work, make a new screenshot to post here

Hi again:-)

Thanks for taking so much time to help me!

I followed the path you provided, and it seemed OK - the ui_bc1-folder was there. However, after deleting and reinstalling VP it now seems to be as it should be! Awesome:-)! Thank you Magnus:-)
