building roads on civ6

Hello!

I've done one game of Civ6 but haven't figured out how to build roads, my empire looked rather ridiculous without them

Could someone please explain?

Traders carry out trade routes. You generally get your first trade route capacity after unlocking the Foreign Trade civic. Then you get more by building lighthouses or markets. You also get others through various bonuses like wonders or civ unique abilities.

Check out a tutorial on YouTube or something. There are a lot of good beginner tips out there.

I think "played" is a strong word, I was paying it very little attention

I will do it again properly tomorrow, but the roads thing was bugging me
