Did most of those come from RoN?

eras 4 & 6 yes, but I pride myself on creating a few from mere pixels

If you can edit maps in Alexander, I'm so getting that game.

as far as I remember, the trick here was to replace all background images with sth salient (I chose 255-0-255), then creating a map in editor, pasting buildings one by one, prtsc, paste into PSP, cut the pink etc.
hmm, RoN was *the nicest* game for buildings in terms of time and effort

Well, the reason that Stormrage made his comment about Orcs is that in most (actually, just about all) fantasy games and movies, Orcish architecture is generally depicted along the lines of your "India 1" set, and I have a feeling that quite a few of those buildings may make an appearance in the next update for the Warhammer Fantasy mod...

well the credit for choosing these particular depictions for India isn't really mine, as the buildings come from Alexander, and mostly from its 'India' set
I was a bit lost when it came to the India, before I got my hands on Alexander, as all I had was RoN, but the buildings there are too civ specific; the 'ancient' sets don't offer much choice there: there's either stone or the wooden/thatched Far East, which, IMHO, wouldn't do the job for India (or for Europe for that matter); anyway, era 1 (cross-civ) comes from a variety of other games - whatever I managed to find that would qualify...
