Building the perfect civ (one step at a time)

Hey Guys,
Any ideas on what would make up the perfect city? What I mean is; including wonders, what buildings go well together in a city (for commerce, production and gp) , and which ones don't you build. Which ones do you build in all cities?
 
I've seen a lot of good cities but never thought of any as being perfect. For me they are just resource centres that produce beakers, gold, culture and units.

The way a city is developed depends on the tiles it has to work so it is difficult to generalise. My cities are usually specialised and so they don't need to build all the buildings that they could.

I guess I've built most buildings in at least one city but have yet to build a Bunker or an SDI in eithe vanilla or Warlords.

Nearly everyone of my cities will get a granary, forge, and library (for culture, research bonus or ability to run 2 scientists).

Beyond that it depends on the game and whether I'm playing a SE or CE.
