Buildings dissapear!

Building dissapear from the build list in towns! In one game it was science centers/laboratories, in a new game the temples and banks are gone. In 2nd case they were there, but one turn they just dissapeared. I can see that beacuse one of my cities still produces a bank and in the other the option is o loger there. Come to think of it there are a number of buildings that never appeared to be biult in my first game. And before you ask its nothing to do with resources, I checked .

I have Civ "Play the world" btw. Patched.

Have you used modified wonders that give you one of these buildings in each of the towns / cities? If so, once the wonder is built you can still complete any buildings that you have started, but won't be able to build new ones.

Is there one for banks, or science centers?

The internet puts a research lab in every city on the continent, but to replace all banks you would need to be using a modified game scenario.

Also the universities are gone . And I have no Internet yet (in game ). What is wrong with my game?

You can't build peacetime buildings because you're using war-time mobilization

Looks like thats what has been going on! No more guns instead of butter ....
Ainwood thank you for your help, please post feedback on the saves if you want to (in fact please DO, these are my first saves ).
