So on turn 1120 AD I built Notre Dame in my capital of Carthage. In turn 1130 it says: Carthage can no longer work on Notre Dame. The lost (production) is converted into 56 gold!

Notre Dame no longer is showing in my city and I cannot rebuild it.

What happened?

A few turns later, I notice my city is no longer 11 population, its now 8!?! What is going on? No notices, nothing to inform me of whats happening. I wasnt starving either, have had 3 extra food per turn for a long time.

Try loading up an autosave; that'll hopefully fix any kinks that've happened since. My city once lost 2 population in a turn for no reason, so I loaded up an autosave and played through it again and everything went smoothly.

Of course, there's no way to tell how often cities just lose population like that - I've only noticed it happen once, and it's hard to keep track of every single city in an empire. It's a very annoying bug when it happens though...

Update... Notre Dame is now showing in a different city of mine, Utica.

Only thing I can think of... is I initially started building Notre Dame in Carthage... then I decided to switch it to Utica. Perhaps the computer didnt recognize the switch and credited me the 56g after Carthage finished making the other wonder I switched to.

Still no clue why I lost people tho, my friend says I got disease from Jungles? I had a 11 unhealthiness and a 8 health for a while.
