Look, I know this should probably go in the request thread, but I've learned by now that nobody actually looks at the thing anymore. :(

So, since we got 3 leaders for some civs, 2 for others, and 1 for the majority, why not have all civs have 3 leaders?
EDIT: Forget 3 leaders, how about 5 each? :mischief:

In the following list, I'll have everybodies name. If there's another name in parenthesis right beside it, then that means this person is more commonly known by this one.

Suggestions taken!

Please consider the idea!!

It's odd, as I'd have put Sargon under Sumerian myself, as although he was Akkadian, this was before the Babylonian Empire existed, and with Nebuchadrezzar, Babylon already has a cool potential-second-leader.

Ottomans/Turks could use Kemal Ataturk as a third leader instead of Osman I.

AFAIK Columbus didn't came from Spain, he was from Italy (Genua). The Spanish only paid him his journey to America. I think he wouldn't be a good spanish leader.

The list said Sargon II, not Sargon I. But if you have other suggestions, I'll consider them!

Well, if we put Ataturk in, they'd be Turks, not Ottomans. I like the sound of Ottomans better, but I'll put him in anyways!

What?? He's not spanish? That sucks..... Anyways, I have limited info sources (the Wikipedia and the CivIII Great Leader list), so he's the only guy I could think of. If you know any sites that can tell me important people from various empires, tell me!

Apart from a few issues with selection, this is a great idea. Now if we could only find the artists...

I've considered making hand drawn pictures for all the leaders (I got a scanner! ), but I'm nowhere near 3D leaderheads.

Also, I looked at the "choose your civ" screen on the Play Now option, and I noticed that there could be room for 5 leaders before you had to scroll down. What do you think: Go for 5 leaders each?

Right you are. My mistake. Still, Sargon I would be a nice Sumerian leader, but having two Sargons in the game could be confusing. My personal favourtie of the two would be Sargon the Great (I) as second Sumerian leader, with Babylon having old Neb', but that's just me.

As unreliable as Wikipedia, it would have told you Columbas was an Italian working for the Spanish.

Likewise Wikipedia will be able to point you in the direction of Spanish leaders.

(Ferdinand II ---> Isabella's husband for example)

Actually, the Sargon I's regnal name is Sarru-kin, and Sargon II's regnal name is Sharru-kinu. We could have one under Sargon, and the other under the respective regnal name, and therefor having both in the same game without confusion!

Actually, the CivIII great leader list said that Columbus was a GL for Spain. That's where I got the idea. Does anyone know really cool spanish leaders?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've updated the leader list with some new entries.

Ferdinand II (Isabella's Husband)

Charles I (Charles V of HRE)
Phillip I
etc...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Spanish_monarchs

from what I have read, their personalities would be similar to Isabella, all Religious maniacs, helbent on converting people.

Francisco Franco from the WWII era is a "popilar choice" and would provide a different gameplay style
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Franco

lastly, you could always pick a Muslim leader from the Muslim period of spanish history that way your 3 leaders are different.

Or someone who was more of a builder.

1: Christian Nut (Isabella)
2: Facist Leader (Franco)
3: .....

You ignore everything on the list except for Spain. I can tell. I already got Charles I/V for the Holy Romans. Sorry, but I couldn't think up anyone else! If you can give me about 4 other significant Holy Roman Emperors, I might let him go.

I'm now aiming for 5 leaders per civ.

Anyways, I'll go look up the guys you suggested. Thanks!

EDIT: By the way, is El Cid a good choice for Spain? He's the only guy who comes to mind instantly. My brother keeps on rambling on about him. He's an Age of Empires 2 fan.

I think 4 leaders per empire would be more than enough (you've only managed 5 for Egypt), as there are limited traits. Perhaps the addition of several more traits (like WoL are doing) would help to balance it out significantly.

For a 4th English leader, you could consider a crusader like Richard I (Richard the Lionheart).

I'll do a bit of research this afternoon for you.

Ya, I have Richard I on there too, but I just haven't updated it yet. I can't update 17 times a day!
Anyways, the more the better!

Put Charles I/V as a leader of both HRE and Spain?

How will that work?
EDIT: Never mind, I found a way!
EDIT 2: Never mind about Edit 1. Why not bring out the bad side of Spain with Francisco Pizarro? :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll go update the list. I've added in some more leaders along with the ever-so-popular Israel civ!

EDIT 3: Another update to the list! I got lots of new leaders, including Cortes and Pizarro! ;)
