Hmm, is it possible to make - buy/sell weapon script for Civ3? This would be really cool cause you would have influence on other small countries in this case by selling them weapon and little country could beat bigger one. Probably it would be harder to have the same options for AI too !? any way, what do u think ?

Wrong forum, this goes into the main creation and customization forum, this is for completed files only.
And no, it is impossible to do in the editor, and I doubt anyone can make such a script.

But....there is an alternative. You can sell licenses to build your equipment, like simulated in World 2003. It´s not perfect, but....you create a resource called license to build Me-109. You place 2 resources of these in German cities. To build Me-109 you need a license. Then the Germans can sell their excess licenses to those interested. The only trouble is that this only works in specific situations. Try to do it in the epic campaign and you will see the Mayas selling licenses to build Mig´s...The main industrial cities of each civilization must be placed in known locations since the beginning.

You can sort of do that by replacing workers with warriors (or some other unit) in the editor (as the 2nd unit I think). So, you can sort of trade units.

Or you could make civ specific tech tree, with tradable tech.

The Russians have the "mig tech", that requires the "Russian civ" tech (a no era tech than only Russian get), and flight.

So when the Russian discover this tech, they are the only one that can build the mig, but then they can trade this tech with others, and give them access to the mig

Steph... if a tech is civ-specific (with era_none techs), it won't show up, and is not tradeable with factions that don't see it, no matter if "Cannot be Traded" is checked or not. Until you know some different workaround?

but is it possible (as I think Steph was saying) to have an normal tech requiring an era_non tech?

is this possible only in "ancient times" or can this be done in "modern times" as well?

If this is possible, then I could make it so that just christian civs for instance, have the possibility of building templar wonder? But then I should find another wonder for the rest...

@Risbinroch
Yes that's what we've both been saying... you can have christian era_none tech, that allows "crusades" teh in middle ages. I'm using it extensively myself. It's just that such techs can be traded only between factions that have the era_none prerequsite (and that's good, otherwise it would be pointless).
