C&C3 confusion

Because Command and Conquer 4 is coming out in a few months and is all over the game news sites, I felt that I should probably at least try the third installment before it comes out. I REALLY enjoyed Tiberian Sun and somehow managed to not even realise that C&C3 existed until a few days ago. But there is a problem: what the hell version do I get?

There seems to be a C&C3: Tiberium Wars, which I guess is the original release; a C&C3: Classic which I think is a re-release of the original game, but probably without a game manual as they usually don't package those in with re-releases in my experience; a C&C3: Kane Edition which might just be the original release plus a few collector's edition things like documentaries; and finally a C&C3: Kane's Wrath, which I think is just the expansion pack. I want to have the full C&C3 experience, so does anyone know what thing(s) to buy? Is there anything in the Kane Edition which is worth getting?

Tiberium Wars is the original release, the classic release is the same game, the Kane Edition adds a couple of extra maps and unit skins, a making of video, a couple of other videos and some wallpapers. Kane's Wrath is a stand alone expansion pack.

They will probably ship C&C3+KW in some sort of combined package soon if not already.

So from what I gather it doesn't make any difference which of the three versions of the main game you get? Except for the couple of extra maps with Kane edition ... does that make Kane Edition worth getting do you think?

I think I will wait until I've played the main game before buying the expansion pack.

Thanks for the info/opinions.
