C2C no multiplayer games available

A friend and I have been trying to install this mod correctly so that we can play a multiplayer game. At this point, that mod is installed correctly on both ends, we can both start games, but when either of us tries to host, we cannot find eachother's games. Does anyone have an idea as to how to fix that?

Lan doesn't work. You need to use the Direct IP version. Should work pretty well at this point actually. You'll get an occasional OOS but they aren't all that bad... I was getting about the same amount of OOS errors on vanilla back in the day. And I have some log compares that may help to eventually uproot even those few ones we've seen here.

were not trying for lan, we're trying to just do an online internet game, do we still need a direct ip connection for that?

So far as I know, yes, unless you do a Play by Email game. Don't know much about trying to connect remotely though.

I played Hot Seat with my girlfriend and it worked perfectly.
